The challenge for Bix Basement Systems was to take a damp, musty, basement environment that utilized the 18th century construction practices and create a dry, functional space. This homeowner wanted to keep their basement dry, and keep it dry all of the time to protect their basement remodeling project from groundwater seepage.
After
The solution Bix Basement Systems implemented was the installation of a full perimeter WaterGuard System to eliminate the ground water seepage. The water collected by the WaterGuard System was directed into two triple safe pumping systems to keep it dry all of the time. To protect the perimeter finished wall from humidity and water vapor, 10 ml CleanSpace was added on the walls. The final stage was adding a SantiDry dehumidifier/air purifier system to maintain a constant humidity level and eliminate any chance of mold and odors.
